Deep Fried Twinkies!
The only time it is ever OK to indulge in your favorite junkfood fantasies is when you happen to be at one of two places: the beach, or a county fair!
Get in line! (Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk)
Last summer I happened to visit both! I went to Santa Cruz beach boardwalk and tried my first ever deep fried twinky. I also took a bite of some deep fried oreos (why not?)
At the Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton, I saw some amazing-looking spiral potatoes and enjoyed sweet potato fries topped with parmesan & garlic powder. If you’ve never tried out these delights, you should! (at least once =)
$3 deep fried twinky! but so worth this oozing piece of fried goodness. tasted fluffy and looked like a corndog.

super sweet! The awesome thing about these is that they make it right when you order it, so it’s always super fresh and hot.
